Rome was called the “Eternal City” as the Romans believed that the city of Rome would always remain standing as the beacon of civilization.
Rome's history goes back to the founding of Rome at around 753 BC making it one of the oldest cities in Europe.
City is overflowing with history - at every street, at every corner. Walk the cobblestone streets past ancient ruins, admire the Renaissance art or soak in the majestic Baroque Trevi fountains.
Colosseum is a sight to behold in itself and it won't disappoint but don't be afraid to explore the city outside of famous landmarks which there are plenty of.
